Tamil Nadu government hospitals in Coimbatore and Karur stopped distributing medicine covers printed in Tamil, English and Hindi after the DMK alleged a covert three-language policy. Health Minister KG Arunraj said similar packaging was approved under the previous DMK regime and called the criticism political opportunism. The ruling TVK reaffirmed its commitment to the state's two-language policy.
