India has proposed senior diplomat Sudhakar Dalela as its next ambassador to Nepal, seeking agrément from Kathmandu. Dalela, a 1993-batch IFS officer and current BRICS Sherpa, would replace Naveen Srivastava, who retired this month. He previously served as ambassador to Bhutan and has extensive experience in India-Nepal relations.
