The Centre moved the Supreme Court on Wednesday challenging the appointment of Jharkhand DGP Tadasha Mishra, alleging violation of the selection procedure laid down by the court. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta mentioned the application before a bench led by Chief Justice Surya Kant, which agreed to hear it. The Centre also challenged the appointment of IPS officer Anurag Gupta and the state's 2025 regulation.
