US Suspends Microsoft, Indian IT Firms from Green Card Programme

The Trump administration suspended Microsoft, Adobe, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, HCL and Cognizant from the PERM green card programme, accusing them of abusing the H-1B visa system. Vice President JD Vance said Microsoft replaced laid-off American workers with foreign workers. Microsoft defended its practices, saying 80% of its 6,000 H-1B applications were for existing employees.
