Critically endangered red-headed vulture spotted in Uttarakhand

A critically endangered red-headed vulture has been photographed and filmed at Patal Thaur in Munsiyari, Uttarakhand, at about 2,650 metres near the India-China border. Members of the conservation group Monal recorded the bird below Balati Band. Experts say the sighting, a new high-altitude record for the district, could aid conservation and distribution mapping.
