AI tools are surfacing software vulnerabilities at an unprecedented pace, with Microsoft fixing more flaws in October alone than in any prior full year and Chrome issuing nearly 14 times as many fixes as in 2025. Over 84,000 flaws have been logged in the CVE system this year, up from about 45,000 last year, straining trackers and leaving unpatched devices exposed.
