Barnala AQI hits 1,104 as Delhi blames Punjab farm fires

Punjab's Barnala recorded an Air Quality Index of 1,104 on Friday morning as farm fires surged, drawing fresh criticism from Delhi. Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa accused the AAP-led Punjab government of misleading people, saying stubble burning contributed 20.2 per cent of Delhi's pollution on November 4. He said Rs 5,000 crore released by the Centre for stubble-management machinery went unused.
