Tanzania farmers miss out on digital agriculture benefits

Tanzania's smallholder farmers are struggling to benefit from digital agriculture services such as M-Kilimo and e-Kilimo, citing poor training and delayed responses. Farmers say they lack education on the platforms and that market information can arrive too late to be useful. The government's $3.62m programme aims to train 500,000 farmers and 500 extension workers by 2027.
