Government sources said India welcomes every satellite communications player and that customers will decide which service to choose. Three companies hold satcom licences: Jio, OneWeb and Starlink. Starlink was last to apply, last to receive its licence and last to submit compliance documents, after OneWeb and Jio. Officials called the process fully transparent.
