EU orders TikTok to change 'harmful' For You algorithm

The European Union has ordered TikTok to change the algorithm behind its For You feed, accusing it of driving users into harmful 'rabbit holes' in violation of the Digital Services Act. Brussels says the feed endlessly exposes users, including minors, to content about sadness, isolation and body image. TikTok rejects the findings as inaccurate. Fines could reach 6 percent unless the issue is resolved.
