US strikes Iran's Qeshm as Hormuz attacks escalate

The United States bombed Iran's Qeshm island after more vessels were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz, with mediators working to prevent wider fighting. At least 11 ships were attacked in the week to November 6, three of them sunk, and transits through the strait have fallen about 65 percent below pre-conflict levels. Iran says it destroyed a US-made drone and warns missile-range limits are lifted.
