India Celebrates Diwali With Temple Prayers and Illuminated Landmarks

Devotees thronged temples and landmarks across India were lit up on Sunday as the country celebrated Diwali. Prayers were held at Puri's Shree Jagannath Temple, Delhi's Adya Katyayani Shaktipeeth and Kolkata's Dakshineswar Kali Temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings, calling the festival a symbol of the country's resolve against darkness.
