US Central Command has created Task Force Iron Gate to stop Iran moving advanced weapons, dual-use technologies and sanctioned goods across its land borders and the Caspian Sea, extending a naval blockade of Iranian ports. CENTCOM also disabled a cargo vessel in the Gulf of Oman, while Iran reported explosions near the Strait of Hormuz and two tankers damaged by mines.
