Former Palestinian prisoners in the occupied West Bank say Israeli forces repeatedly detain and interrogate them after their release, in what rights groups describe as a campaign of intimidation. One man freed in the January 2025 Hamas-Israel exchange has been arrested six times since, while another says he has spent 17 years in custody since his nominal release.
