Antigua and Barbuda has declared the Redonda Ecosystem Reserve, protecting nearly 30,000 hectares of land and sea. After conservationists removed invasive rats and feral goats in 2017, vegetation surged by over 2,000% by 2023, and the critically endangered Redonda ground dragon population increased 13-fold. The reserve supports at least 30 threatened species.
