India diversifies energy imports, taps 15 countries for LNG

India has expanded its LNG sourcing from 6 to 15 countries and crude oil imports from 27 to 41 countries, the government told Parliament on Monday. The move aims to reduce dependence on any single supplier or route amid geopolitical tensions. Strategic petroleum reserves are also being expanded, with additional capacity approved but not yet operational.
