Virgin Galactic delays commercial spaceflight to 2027

Virgin Galactic has postponed its next commercial spaceflight to February 2027, citing the need for more time to complete avionics and systems installations on its first Delta-class spaceship. The company hasn't flown since June 2024 and had targeted late 2026. CEO Michael Colglazier said no single issue caused the delay, but hundreds of small installation tasks extended the timeline.
