Seven workers died and 14 were injured after water and debris entered an under-construction tunnel at the THDC hydroelectric project in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. Rescue teams are still searching for two trapped workers. NDRF and SDRF are conducting the operation, with officials confirming 20 of 22 workers have been accounted for.
