NASA has awarded an early-stage grant to develop SPARK, spherical flying robots designed to explore caves on Saturn's moon Titan. The project, led by Daniel Drew of the University of Hawaii, uses novel ion thrusters and could serve as a forerunner similar to Mars' Ingenuity helicopter. It may not be ready for NASA's Dragonfly mission, targeted for 2028.
