UK food supply at risk from climate-vulnerable imports, report warns

The UK is vulnerable to food price shocks due to heavy reliance on imports from countries highly exposed to climate change, according to a Food Foundation report. About 40% of Britain's food is imported, including 80% of fruit and 47% of vegetables, with 18 of its top 20 supplying countries rated vulnerable to climate breakdown. The charity urges government investment to boost domestic production.
