Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said artificial intelligence, semiconductors and quantum technology will drive India's next major infrastructure investment. Speaking at IIT Madras Alumni Association's Sangam 2026 in Bengaluru, she called for greater spending on AI hardware, training and skills, including solutions for MSMEs. She said India can achieve over 10 percent growth with sustained effort.
