EC Orders Expert Review of ECINet After Internal Rift Reports

The Election Commission has ordered an expert review of its ECINet platform after reports of differences among its three commissioners over electoral roll management. The poll body clarified that separate letters from Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi concerned an officer on deputation, not policy. A committee led by a Senior Deputy Election Commissioner, with an IIT or IIIT expert, will review the system.
