UK Marks One Year Since Recognizing Palestinian State

A year after the UK recognized the State of Palestine, Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband declared Israel's occupation unlawful and announced bans on settlement goods, services, advertising and arms licences, plus sanctions on settlement-linked companies. Eleven other governments joined a parallel statement. Israel ordered London to close its East Jerusalem consulate, while demolitions and settlement tenders have accelerated in the West Bank.
