A youth group calling itself Gen Next Mumbai staged a counter-protest against the Cockroach Janta Party near Babasaheb Ambedkar's statue at Churchgate, Mumbai. Members accused CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke of seeking to dismantle the Constitution and misleading people over the Election Commission. CJP is demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged SIR irregularities, with its next protest planned for October 10 in Delhi.
