Police in northwest Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province are stringing fishing nets over checkposts to defend against armed drone attacks. The low-cost measure, about $1,435 per post, was introduced in Hangu district and has spread to at least five other districts. Officials say no drone attacks have occurred at one protected checkpost since installation.
