Singapore Refers Eight Civil Servants to Police Over Property Deals

Singapore has referred eight civil servants to police after a review of property purchases near planned MRT stations. The move follows a US think tank paper finding civil servants were 60 percent more likely to buy homes near unannounced stations. The government says referrals do not establish wrongdoing and due process will be followed.
