SC Orders Committee on Pharma Freebies to Doctors

The Supreme Court has directed the government to form a committee within two weeks to examine unethical pharmaceutical marketing practices, including freebies to doctors. The panel must recommend a statutory framework within two months. The government will then consider the recommendations and file a compliance affidavit before the next hearing on January 29.
