Black Holes May Form Planets, Study Finds

A new study in The Astrophysical Journal suggests supermassive black holes could create planets. The same physics that forms planets around stars may apply to the accretion disks of active galactic nuclei. Simulations indicate a single black hole could host millions of planets, some growing into brown dwarfs or even stars.
