Centre Urges States to Display Healthcare Charges Prominently

The Union Health Ministry has asked all States and Union Territories to ensure clinical establishments prominently display charges for services and facilities. In a letter to Chief Secretaries, Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava said this would help families plan medical expenditure and avoid billing disputes. The move also covers international patients on medical and Ayush visas.
