Car dealers pin hopes on record festive deliveries to cut stock

Indian car dealers expect record deliveries between Dhanteras and Diwali to reduce passenger vehicle inventories, which stayed at 43-45 days in October despite record wholesale dispatches. FADA President Sai Giridhar expects stocks to fall below 30 days by December-end, warning dealers and automakers would otherwise have to burn cash to clear them.
