Cornell faculty pass no-confidence vote over rape case handling

Cornell University faculty passed a non-binding no-confidence resolution against the administration over its handling of an alleged fraternity house gang rape, voting 75-50 with five abstentions. A female student says seven male students assaulted her in 2024; Cornell shut the fraternity, suspended the accused and expelled two. The Board of Trustees backed President Laurence Kotlikoff despite the symbolic rebuke.
