US President Donald Trump confirmed minor US strikes on Iranian air defence systems on Qeshm Island, saying Washington has made "a lot of progress" in talks with Tehran. Iran's state media reported two missile strikes and said its forces downed a US MQ-9 drone. CENTCOM described the situation as "relatively calm" and offered a $20 million reward for information on Iran's nuclear programme.
