On August 12, 2026, a total solar eclipse will cross the Arctic, Greenland, Iceland, and Spain, with about 15 million people in its path of totality. Nearly one billion people worldwide will see a partial eclipse. This is mainland Europe's first total solar eclipse since 1999.
