Lake Powell hits record low amid Colorado River crisis

Lake Powell, the second-largest U.S. reservoir, fell to a record low on Saturday, deepening the Colorado River crisis. The level dropped to 3,519.91 feet, just below the previous record set in April 2023. The decline threatens hydropower and water supply for 40 million people, as states struggle to agree on a management plan.
