A sudden flash flood hit Kottappuzha at TK Colony in Pookkottumpadam around 5 pm on Sunday, killing a man aged about 50 whose body was recovered at Muttikkund. Seven others, including tourists and a local woman, are feared swept away. About 27 stranded people were rescued as search operations continued.
