Rescuers steer 25 pilot whales out of River Thames

A pod of 27 pilot whales that became lost in the River Thames was guided back to sea over six hours, with 25 animals rescued and two dying. The operation, led by British Divers Marine Life Rescue, Marine Pilots and local authorities, began on September 19 after the whales were spotted on September 17.
