The three-day nationwide bank strike from September 28-30 has been deferred after the Indian Banks' Association and United Forum of Bank Unions reached an understanding late Sunday. Banks, including SBI and HDFC Bank, will operate normally on Monday. A committee will discuss the demand for a five-day banking week and other issues.
